Having led the Royal Park’s £4m restoration project for this Grade I site, Royal Parks commissioned SPLA to help update their Park Management Plan, establishing priorities for the next 10 years. Sally led a series of workshops and park walks with key site and management teams, providing heritage, design and management input to reach consensus and reset the site’s priorities. By facilitating walks and discussions we collectively identified specific issues, analysed and discussed their resolution. In this way all staff are engaged and have agency for their specialist areas, mapping key aims and projects for the next 10 years. Final sessions with specialist teams prioritised these, setting clear work plans so the park is managed for the benefit of people, heritage and biodiversity.
